FLUX Deforum

Deforum changed animation. FLUX changed diffusion. I built the architecture to bridge them — a production app for 16-channel latent animation with semantic motion control.

The Hard Problem

FLUX.1 uses 16-channel latents. Deforum was built for Stable Diffusion's 4-channel architecture. This isn't a port — it's new infrastructure.

The Why

To push next-generation creative workflows, bring Deforum animation to FLUX, and contribute back to open source.

Design Decisions

• —Channel-Semantic Grouping: Channels 0-3 control structure, 4-7 colour, 8-11 texture, 12-15 transitions
• —Depth-Aware Parallax: Semantic layers move independently without per-frame depth estimation
• —SLERP Interpolation: Spherical linear interpolation for smooth latent transitions
• —Preset System: One-click configurations for common workflows
